UK Co-op Legal Services has proudly raised over £100k for Cancer Research UK, supporting their vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Since May 2017, Co-op Legal Services has been raising critical funds with their clients for Cancer Research UK. Through Co-op Legal Services’s partnership with Cancer Research UK, thousands of clients have kindly donated to their cause.

Co-op Legal Services also offers discounted Will and Lasting Power of Attorney packages to clients and pays 10% of the fee (exclusive of VAT) directly to Cancer Research UK.

So far over £100k has been raised through the partnership.

Today, 1 in 2 people will get cancer at some point in their lifetime*. Cancer Research UK’s work saves lives. Their research has played a role in developing 8 of the world’s top 10 cancer drugs. They are also a key player in the development of radiotherapy, which now benefits more than 130,000 patients every year in the UK.

Right now, their 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses are finding new ways to diagnose cancer earlier, developing new treatments and informing policy makers and the public about reducing cancer risk. They don’t receive any funding from the Government, so this life-saving work is only possible thanks to supporters like Co-op Legal Services clients.

Sophie Langman, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Cancer Research UK commented: A huge thank you from all of us at Cancer Research UK and congratulations on reaching this wonderful milestone. We are immensely proud of what this partnership has achieved so far and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow.

James Antoniou, Head of Wills for Co-op Legal Services, said: “We’re incredibly pleased to be able to support the outstanding work being done by Cancer Research UK and that such a significant amount has been raised so far. ‘’We hope to build on this figure throughout 2019, as we continue to offer our clients the chance to donate to CRUK when they are in the process of putting later life plans in place.’’
