Professional executor service

As part of writing your will, you will have to appoint people you trust to carry out the terms of your will. These people are called the executors. They will deal with your estate (everything you own) after you die. For details about the role and responsibilities of an executor, see executor duties explained.

By using our professional executor service, you can rest assured that Co-op Legal Services will take full responsibility for dealing with your affairs after you die. All the legal, tax (excluding VAT) and estate administration duties will be taken care of, as well as the sale of any property you have in your estate.

When you pass away, one of our staff will visit your loved ones and explain our service in full, offering advice and support when it matters most. They’ll also provide an upfront fixed price for dealing with your affairs, so the ones you leave behind will be assured that costs will not increase month on month.

When you make a will with Co-op Legal Services, you are under no obligation to use our professional executor service. If you decide to include us as your executors now, but wish to remove us from your will at a later date, we’ll make that change free of charge.

If you have already written your will with us and decide that you’d like to add us as your executor at a later date, we’ll also make that change free of charge.
