Associate Family Law Solicitor, Sheffield.

Emily is an Associate Solicitor specialising in Family Law, handling matters of private children disputes, domestic abuse, divorce and financial remedy. Emily is based at Co-Op Legal Services’ Sheffield office, however she is able to assist clients across England and Wales.

Emily is committed to supporting clients through emotionally challenging situations with a calm, practical and compassionate approach. She understands that family law issues often arise during periods of significant stress and uncertainty, and she works closely with clients to ensure they feel supported, informed and reassured throughout the legal process. Emily believes that good legal advice should be clear, accessible and grounded in an understanding of the human realities behind each case, enabling clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

Emily has particular experience working with vulnerable clients, including those involved in cases where domestic abuse, safeguarding issues or complex family dynamics are present. She takes pride in ensuring that individuals feel listened to and respected, and she is known for her empathetic yet measured approach. Emily recognises the importance of building trust with her clients and takes time to understand their individual circumstances, priorities and concerns.

With strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of family law proceedings, Emily is able to guide clients through complex and often emotionally charged processes with reassurance and clarity. She provides clear, practical advice and will always seek to resolve matters in a constructive and proportionate way where possible. However, Emily also understands that court proceedings are sometimes necessary and will robustly protect her clients’ interests where required.

Emily regularly advises clients in relation to private children matters and understands the significant impact that separation and dispute can have on children and families. She approaches these cases with sensitivity and care, placing importance on promoting the welfare of children whilst supporting parents through what can be an extremely difficult time. Emily recognises that no two families are the same and takes a tailored approach to each case.
