Co-op Probate Pricing Examples

18 February 2019

At Co-op Legal Services, we provide transparent, fixed fee Probate services. Our quote will depend on a number of factors, and every Estate is different. So that you have a better understanding of how our Probate fees are calculated and a better idea of what to expect, we've put together a few examples.

Once we provide you with a written quote, that quote will not change (unless the information provided is shown to be incorrect or circumstances change).

Please note that these examples are for illustrative purposes only. They are not a guarantee of the fixed fee Probate quotation that you will receive, which will be tailored to your individual circumstances.

What Affects Probate Fees?

At Co-op Legal Services, our fixed fee Probate quotation will be calculated based on a number of factors. These will include things such as how complex the Estate is and how much work will need to be undertaken to administer the Estate.

For example, if there are multiple properties, missing Beneficiaries or foreign assets then the Probate process will be more complex and will take longer than it would for an Estate that doesn't have these complicating factors.

Third Party Costs and Disbursements

In order to carry out Probate, it is often necessary to appoint third party organisations to carry out specialist services, and these services will usually incur a cost. For example, if the deceased's property needs to be sold, we can appoint an Estate Agent, Conveyancer and EPC provider on your behalf. These costs will need to be paid in addition to our fixed fee.

All third party costs and disbursements that we identify will be detailed on the written fixed fee quote that we provide before any work starts, so that you know exactly where you stand.

We've put together a full list of standard and additional disbursements to give you a better idea of what to expect.
