Kathryn Richards is a Probate Solicitor at Co-op Legal Services based in Bristol.
Kathryn deals with Probate cases involving high value Estates, large family trees, foreign assets and businesses. Kathryn can advise clients on taxes relating to Estates, including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax.
Kathryn has excellent organisational and time-management skills, ensuring that Probate cases are moved along as quickly as possible and clients kept regularly informed of the progress.
Kathryn qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 having done an LLB at University of Kent at Canterbury and an LPC at University of Exeter.
She has been working at Co-op Legal Services since 2009 and is a Complex Probate Case Handler with a varied case load.
She has been actively involved in training the Trainee Solicitors at the Co-op Legal Services.
Kathryn is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
All members of STEP are subject to an extensive Code of Professional Conduct, requiring them at all times to act with integrity and in a manner that inspires the confidence, respect and trust of their clients and of the wider community. STEP members are also required to keep up to date with the latest legal, technical and regulatory developments.
When not working
Kathryn can be found coxing for the City of Bristol Rowing Club, and says that she is usually unrecognisable due to the amount of clothes needed to keep the British weather out!
Kathryn also enjoys going on holidays to wine regions in order to try out the local food and wine.
