Rachel Chenery is a Probate Solicitor at Co-op Legal Services in Manchester who provides Probate and Estate Administration legal services across England and Wales.

Rachel writes of herself, “I came to Law later in my career, having read modern languages for my first degree at The University of Cambridge and worked in the public sector as a project co-ordinator and fundraising manager."

“What I find most rewarding about working as a Probate Solicitor at Co-op Legal Services is being able to help customers through a difficult time, by sorting out all the paperwork that needs to be dealt with after someone dies. I enjoy the challenge of working through technical legal or tax issues, to find a practical solution for the family."

“I am friendly and sympathetic dealing with our customers who are often going through a very difficult time, having lost someone close. I feel I can combine a down-to-earth approach whilst working through complex legal issues.”

When Not Working

Rachel says “I am a working mum, which takes up plenty of time! When I do get some spare time, I like to take advantage of the various cultural activities that Manchester has to offer. My favourite venues are: HOME, a cultural centre which has cinemas, theatres, an art gallery and café; and Manchester Royal Exchange, a futuristic-looking pod which is a ‘theatre in the round’ situated in the old Corn Exchange building.”
