Joanna is a Probate Solicitor at Co-op Legal Services, based in Manchester.
Joanna specialises in Probate work and deals with all aspects of Estate administration. This includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of Grant applications, tax issues, drafting deeds of variations and the sale of Estate properties.
Joanna conducts all matters on her Probate cases from start to finish which means she has the opportunity to build a good working relationship with her clients and can provide a more personal service.
Before joining Co-op, Joanna specialised in Personal Injury litigation for almost a decade and worked for one of the leading North West firms. During her Training Contract, she gained extensive experience assisting with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Court of Protection work. She was also given a valuable opportunity to assist the Head of Department with the complex Life Planning work of high net worth clients.
Joanna always does her best to take the burden off her clients' shoulders during such a difficult time. She also understands very well that different individuals deal with grief differently. Therefore she always applies a calm and patient approach and listens carefully to their concerns.
Joanna began her legal career as a bi-lingual paralegal at a law firm in South Manchester. She then moved to a large North West private practice where she worked for almost 8 years and gained significant expertise in personal injury litigation.
Joanna completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees at Manchester Metropolitan University while working full time as a Litigation Executive. She qualified in 2017 and joined Co-op immediately.
