Franklyn is a Trainee Solicitor in the Probate department of Co-op Legal Services. He provides tailored legal advice and support to clients who are navigating through the various challenges and complexities that can arise when dealing with the administration of an Estate.
Franklyn places great emphasis on client care and aims to make the Probate process as straightforward as possible for his clients. From taking initial instructions from the Executor or Personal Representative right through to the point of distribution of assets, he focuses on delivering an exceptional level of service on behalf of Co-op Legal Services, maintaining the high standards that clients expect from the Co-op.
Franklyn also has experience in dealing with property sales and purchases. He applies this knowledge to his Probate work, assisting clients with the sale of Estate properties during Probate.
Franklyn prides himself on his professionalism. He is passionate about the service he provides and the quality and accuracy of advice that he gives. Whilst managing his own caseload and assisting senior colleagues, Franklyn is completing his training contract with Co-op. He will eventually complete seats in other practice areas within Co-op Legal Services, developing his knowledge and expertise further.
Franklyn joined Co-op Legal Services in 2017, having previously worked at a well-known and reputable Merseyside law firm as a Fee Earner in their private client department. His responsibilities included drafting Wills, dealing with the administration of complex taxable & non-taxable Estates, acting in the sale of Estate properties, preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection Orders and managing client affairs under Deputyship Orders.
He also has experience working in a commercial environment, acting for Registered Housing Providers (RP’s) in all aspects of private treaty sales, auction and plot sales, resales, shared ownership, staircasing and right to buy/acquire matters.
He completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Liverpool John Moores University in 2015, achieving a commendation whilst concurrently working in legal practice. Prior to this, he completed a Business & Finance undergraduate degree and a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL).

When Not Working
Franklyn enjoys working in his local community and has been able to participate in a number of ‘Will Week’ events at a local hospice, drafting Wills on behalf of its residents. He also regularly attends a monthly drop in clinic for a brain injury charity, assisting members who have suffered catastrophic brain injury, providing advice around Lasting Powers of Attorney and applications for Deputyship Orders.
In his spare time, he enjoys music, competitive sports and travelling.
