Kelly is a Team Leader in the Personal Injury Claims Department at Co-op Legal Services in Bristol.
Kelly joined Co-op Legal Services in 2006 as a Team Leader. She currently manages a team of Case Handlers dealing with both car accidents and a variety of non-road traffic accident claims, including Work Accident Claims, Occupiers Liability and Public Liability Claims both pre and post litigation.
Kelly has been working in Personal Injury since 1990 dealing with a variety of fast-track and multi-track personal injury claims for people injured in accidents across the UK.
Personal Injury Case Wins
Road Accident claim where client sustained significant post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) which led to her being unable to work following the accident, and as a result she sustained a loss of earnings. Her claim was successfully concluded in the amount of £35,000 compensation.
Road Accident claim where the accident brought forward symptoms of pre-existing arthritis in the client’s knee. She also suffered from post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD). The injuries reduced her ability for work for a significant period of time during she suffered a loss of earnings. Her claim was successfully concluded in the amount of £70,000 compensation.
Road Accident claim in which the client suffered a permanent loss of his sense of smell severely affecting his life. His claim was successfully concluded in the amount of £45,000 compensation.
Employer's Liability claim where client was the subject of bullying and harassment at work as a result of which she suffered from occupational stress. Her claim was concluded in the amount of £5,000 compensation.
Accident at Work claim where the client tripped over an exposed tree root at his workplace sustained a fracture to his ankle. The claim was concluded in the amount of £10,000 compensation.
Faulty Product Liability claim where the client damaged his tooth on an over processed nut in a chocolate bar. The claim was settled for just over £4,000 compensation and we successfully recovered the cost of future dental treatment required.
Road Traffic Accident claim for a primary school teacher who sustained Serious Injury to her dominant elbow which caused restriction at work, in particular in relation to teaching gymnastics in which she specialised. It also impacted significantly on her domestic life and it was accepted that she would require domestic help and paid assistance in caring for her newborn child due to the nature of the injury. Liability was resolved on a split basis and the claim was successfully concluded for the net amount of £180,000 compensation.
