Co-op Legal Services Does The Apprentice Style Charity Fund Raising
11 August 2016
Staff from Co-op Legal Services are taking part in an Alan Sugar ‘The Apprentice’ style challenge on 12 September.
Three teams will go head to head to see who can make the most money in one day for our nominated Charity, British Red Cross.
The three teams are taking over British Red Cross charity shops across Manchester to see if they can triple the takings at the shop over the course of the day.
The rules are there are no rules! They can do whatever they choose throughout the day, but whatever they do has to be planned, arranged and executed by each of the three teams.
Some of the current ideas are a cinema, a pop-up café and an exhibition, but there are sure to be some original ideas coming through.
The three teams include three team leaders. The teams have been allocated their venues – they are Chorlton, Droylsden and Hyde and you can follow their progress on Twitter during the event on 12 September using #TeamChorlton, #TeamDrolysden and #TeamHyde.
The team leader for #TeamChorlton is Caoilionn Hurley, the Director of Finance at Co-op Legal Services. She wants a team of people who have retail experience, great customer service skills, project management expertise and marketing knowledge. Caoilionn wants to do great things, with great people, for great people.
Over at #TeamDroylsden, the team leader is Russell Gill. He is Head of Membership and Co-op Relations. He’s been at Co-op for 24 years and wants a real mix of people on his team, which he knows he’ll get. Most of all he wants people who will go the extra mile because they’re doing this for such a great cause.
Last but not least, #TeamHyde and Jon Church, Director of Group Communications is heading this team. Jon wants some local people from Hyde on his team as he thinks this will give him the edge. Also people who are good with numbers and digital marketing too. Jon has also offered to make his team endless cups of tea too, so Jon’s team may well prove to be the most popular choice.
We’re really excited about this Apprentice style challenge. We’ll keep you up to date on Twitter and Facebook and let you know how our teams get on.
Good luck #TeamChorlton, #TeamDrolysden and #TeamHyde from everyone at Co-op Legal Services.
With your help, together we have raised an amazing £1.5 million so far and the total keeps rising. To donate to British Red Cross please click here.
