Co-op Home Visit Will Writing Service Explained

20 December 2019

At Co-op, we offer a range of Will writing services, including our telephone service, our home visit service and our online Will service. In this article we explain our home visit Will writing service, including who it's for and how it works.

Who is the Home Visit Wills Service For?

We understand that a one-size-fits all approach doesn't work when it comes to writing a Will. This is why we offer three different types of Will writing services so that you can choose the service that's right for you.

With our home visit service, an Estate Planning Consultant who is local to you can visit you to talk through your Will writing options. We have consultants based throughout England and Wales, so wherever you live, a local Estate Planning specialist can provide you with a comprehensive Will writing service in your area.

Our home visit Wills service is perfect for those who want a comprehensive face to face discussion on how to protect their wealth and ensure their loved ones are provided for in the right way. This may be those with a more complex Estate, for example, or those who simply want some additional support and guidance on the best approach to take.

If you know you need to make a Will but are overwhelmed by the options available and are unsure of where to start, then this could be the right service for you. Our home visit service may also be the right choice if you think you may benefit from additional services, such as a Trust or Lasting Power of Attorney, and you want comprehensive guidance on these options too.

How does the Home Visit Wills Service Work?

Our team will arrange for an Estate Planning Consultant to visit you at a time that's convenient for you. This meeting can take place in the comfort of your own home or at another location of your choosing (within England and Wales).

The Estate Planning Consultant will discuss your circumstances with you in detail to fully understand your needs. They will then make recommendations on how you can best protect your wealth for your loved ones with the use of Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney are complex legal documents and it's important that you fully understand the options available to you. This is why we like to keep things simple. Before you make any decisions, your Estate Planning Consultant will explain everything to you in straight-forward language, without any legal jargon.

Our home visit Wills service is provided by Co-op Estate Planning which is a separate business within the Co-op Group. All legal documents (including Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney) are drafted by Co-op Legal Services' award-winning Will Writing team, which is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Once you're happy with everything, your Estate Planning Consultant will instruct Co-op Legal Services to draft the relevant documentation on your behalf.

How Much Does It Cost?

We offer transparent, fixed fee pricing across our Will writing services. Single Wills start from just £150, with Mirror Wills (for 2 people) starting from £245.

For more complex Wills, such as Trust Wills, your Consultant will provide a fixed quote before any work starts. There is no obligation on you to take out our services once a quote has been provided to you, and once a price has been agreed, it won't change.
