Make a Will at Home or Work
13 March 2017
Many people put off making a Will because they feel they simply have not got the time. This is understandable, as most people are busy with work, family and all the other day to day activities that life demands.
Further considerations can complicate matters. For instance, if you are making a Will with a spouse and have been asked to go to a Solicitor’s office, you would need to find a time that is convenient for both of you.
Because of all these things, the task of making a Will often gets pushed to the bottom of list, even though it is a very important document to have, as it ensures your wishes will be carried out after you pass away.
Making a Will at Home or Work
At Co-op Legal Services we make the Will writing process easy. Our Will writing service allows you to make a Will from the comfort of your home, or while sitting at your desk at work, with expert help and support from our Will writers over the phone.
To get started making your Will, all you need to do is call us or contact us online. The first step is to talk to one of our Will Writing Advisors who can answer any questions you may have.
During the initial phone call we will discuss your needs, explain the different types of Wills such as Trust Wills and Mirror Wills, and provide you with a fixed fee quote. Once we have provided you with a written fixed fee quote, that price will not change. If you would like to proceed we will then book an appointment for one of our Will writers to call you.
This appointment takes place entirely over the phone, and will be at a time that is suitable for you. It usually takes around 30 to 40 minutes, so is even something you could fit into your lunch break.
After this phone call we should have all the necessary information to make a first draft of your Will. We will post this to you, allowing you to make any amendments. Once you have approved the draft, we will send you the final version of your Will to sign and have witnessed.
Our Online Will Writing Service
With our online Will writing service you can start writing your Will at any time of the day. Our online service takes you through some questions, which together collect the important information that needs to be included in your Will.
You can then choose a time for one of our professional Will writers to call you back. During this follow-up phone call, we will discuss your circumstances and answer any questions you have. This will ensure that you are getting the right Will tailored to your circumstances.
Using our online Will writing service, you can complete the questions online at work during your lunch break and then arrange a call in the evening with a Will writer to finalise matters. We’ll then send out a draft Will for you to review.
