Rebecca is very adept at representing clients from the outset of their relationship through to Court proceedings. Rebecca has a wealth of experience with the Court process having undertaken a significant amount of advocacy during her career. She can prepare cases, provide detailed legal advice on the Court process, and is always able to provide guidance and support. She appreciates that although the Courtroom is sometimes necessary it is also very daunting for those who have never experienced it.
Successfully represented a client on appeal against a Child Arrangement Order preventing him having overnight contact with his child mid-week. The original Court Order was varied to include additional contact resulting in a Shared Care Arrangement.
Successfully represented a client on application for leave to permanently remove her child from the jurisdiction (England & Wales). Despite an unfavourable Cafcass report and an existing Shared Care Arrangement Rebecca successfully argued that it was in the best interests of the child to relocate.
Successfully represented a client in an application for a Financial Order in which the wife sought to adjourn the lump sum element of the application until the client’s mother was deceased and her husband had received his inheritance. The application also included international elements. The application was refused and a Final Order was made resulting in a clean break for the parties, meaning the wife did not receive a share of the inheritance.
Successfully represented a client in an application for a Financial Order in which the husband refused to engage in the process and disclose his pension information, which was the only other asset in the UK aside from the former matrimonial home. The Court ordered disclosure direct from the pension scheme and awarded a transfer of the home and a significant Pension Sharing Order in her client’s favour.
