Career History

Alex completed her Solicitor training at Hugh James in Cardiff and qualified in the family department, where she worked for a year.

In 2007, Alex joined Kirby & Co in London. It is a niche family law practice based in Wimbledon. Alex dealt with a mixture of medium to high net worth family law and divorce cases including child custody disputes.

She took brief breaks from work to have 3 children who are now 2, 5 and 7 years old.

Alex moved back to her home county of Monmouthshire in 2012 and after the birth of child number 3, she spent a year working at a small, local company doing mostly private client and some family work.

Alex joined Co-op Legal Services in May 2016. See her article, A Day in the Life of a Family Solicitor.

Alex is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and is in the process of joining Resolution.

When Not Working

Alex has an active life outside of work. Her 3 lively children take up most of her spare time but when permitted, she is a keen runner. You can find her tearing up the lanes in the Monmouthshire countryside where she lives, and entering local and national running events.
