Katy is a Family Law Solicitor, advising on all areas of family law at Co-op Legal Services. Katy is based in Bristol and helps clients across the UK.

Katy specialises in divorce and children law, with a wealth of experience dealing with a wide range of family law issues across England & Wales.

Katy provides legal advice and services for the financial consequences of relationship breakdown for unmarried couples and same sex partnerships. Katy also advises couples at the outset of their relationship on how to protect their wealth with prenuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

Katy is passionate about providing outstanding client care and building excellent relationship with clients. She is known for her calm, reassuring approach, and provides pragmatic advice to achieve the best results for her clients. Katy will endeavor to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients and will always strive to achieve a resolution without a Court application being necessary. She will however protect her client’s interests at every stage and recognises that in some cases litigation is necessary to secure the best interests of her client.

Katy provides a high level of client service and builds excellent relationships with her clients and other professionals.

Career history

Katy initially graduated from the University of Wales with a B.A (Hons) in Business. Katy Then went onto study a Graduate Diploma in Law at Cardiff University in 2019, gaining a Commendation.

Following graduation, Katy successfully completed the Legal Practice Course at Swansea University.

Katy has worked in Family Law since April 2020, qualifying as a solicitor in April 2021. During her training contract, Katy completed a 12 month seat in Family Law and Legal advisory.

Katy joined Co-op Legal Services in September 2019.

Before joining Co-op Legal Services, Katy worked in criminal law for over 10 years at firms in Wales and Australia, where she dealt with high profile and complex cases. Katy is also qualified as duty solicitor and has advised suspects at the police station for several years.

Professional memberships

Katy is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), as an SRA regulated solicitor and SRA Accredited Police Station Representative.

When not working

Outside of work Katy enjoys anything that involves being outdoors and staying active. Katy is also a complete foodie and she loves spending time with family and friends.
