Family Law Solicitor, Bristol
Judit is a Family Law Solicitor specialising in divorce, child matters, injunctions and financial consequences of a relationship breakdown. Judit also assists clients with managing financial matters by way of prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements.
Judit has several years of advocacy experience in a range of matters including Children Act applications (such as Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders), Financial Remedy Proceedings and applications under the Family Law Act (such as Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders).
Judit recognises that family proceedings can be very difficult and emotional, therefore it is imperative that clients are handled with care and are provided clear and solution-focused legal advice. Judit has particular experience with cases involving domestic abuse and mental health issues. She has successfully represented victims of domestic violence obtaining protective injunctions and Children Act orders prioritising children’s welfare.
Judit supports clients from the outset of the case until conclusion, striving to achieve a desirable outcome for the client while taking into account their individual circumstances. Judit’s advocacy experience enables her to represent clients at court hearings and strengthen the relationship of trust between client and lawyer as a result of the ongoing involvement.
Parties involved in family proceedings often remain in each other’s lives, especially if there are children involved, so Judit aims to achieve an amicable outcome in a cost effective and time effective manner.
Judit graduated from the University of Kent with LLB (Hons) in 2016, obtaining a qualifying law degree. During her undergraduate studies Judit spent a year studying French Law at the Universite Paris X Nanterre.
Following graduation, Judit successfully completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law and also gained an LLM Masters in Law postgraduate degree in 2017.
Judit has worked in the area of Family Law since March 2017 and qualified as a solicitor in April 2020. During her training contract, Judit completed seats in Family Law, Wills, Probate and Education Law, which gave her a well-rounded overview of private client matters.
Judit joined Co-op Legal Services in January 2021.
Judit is an SRA regulated solicitor and a member of Resolution.
Successfully represented a client whose ex-husband collected the children from school without prior agreement and refused to return them to her care. Our client was very concerned about the children’s welfare due to her ex-husband’s historic violence and substance misuse. Successfully obtained an emergency order for the return of the children to the mother’s care within 48 hours.
Successfully represented a client in reaching a financial settlement even though the other party was reluctant to engage. After encouraging parties to negotiate, they were able to finalise arrangements without court proceedings and were able to limit the impact of the divorce upon the children of the family.
Successfully represented a grandfather in obtaining a Child Arrangements Order to enable him to spend time with his grandson on a regular basis. This was following a year of no contact due to the parents’ lack of cooperation in facilitating arrangements. The court found that it was in the child’s best interest to have contact with his grandfather, with whom he had a very close bond.
Successfully represented a mother in court proceedings allowing her to keep her 6-month-old baby in her care, following an urgent application by the father alleging that she had knowledge of a cannabis plantation’s presence in her rented accommodation. Our client was advised and supported throughout the case and she was able to protect the welfare of her baby in her care.
