Time limits for employment tribunal claims

Time limits apply to all employment tribunal claims so it is imperative to contact our Employment Law Solicitors as soon as possible. Failure to present a claim within the relevant time limit puts the claim outside the employment tribunal's jurisdiction, which means that the tribunal cannot hear the claim unless there are grounds to grant an extension to the normal time limit.

Most employment tribunal cases are completed within 9-12 months, depending on the complexity of the claim and which tribunal is processing it. However, very complex claims could take years to complete.
