What is Age Discrimination at Work?
Age discrimination at work is when you have been treated unfavourably in a workplace, because of your age.
How Do I Know If I’ve Been a Victim of Age Discrimination?
You could be a victim of age discrimination if for example you believe you have been singled out for redundancy or forced into early retirement or on the grounds of your age.
You may also be a victim of age discrimination if you believe that you have been passed over continuously for promotion or received lower pay, as a result of your age.
Age Discrimination Legal Advice & Report
Our Employment Law Solicitors know how stressful age discrimination claims can be. That is why we try to make everything as stressless and transparent as possible for you.
Firstly, when you contact us about an age discrimination claim, we listen to you and advise you whether you have a claim against your employer.
You Have Several Options
- You can opt for a written report on the merits of your age discrimination case for £1260 including VAT.
- If you decide to proceed with your age discrimination claim, we start Early Conciliation with ACAS or negotiate directly with your employer, before starting legal proceedings. This stage of your claim (which we call ‘settlement negotiations’), costs £420 including VAT.
But that is not all we do. As part of the Co-op Group, we pride ourselves on our ethical, professional service. For you, this means that you are kept informed at every stage of your claim, giving you peace of mind during what can be a stressful time.
Our fixed-fee structure offers great value for money. We are also transparent about our pricing, so there will be no nasty surprises.
Further, Co-op Insurance policyholders whose claims meet the requirements of their legal expenses cover, and Co-op members are entitled to initial legal advice.
I Don’t Work for the Same Employer, Do I Still Have a Claim?
Even if you no longer work for your employer, we may still be able to help you with your claim. Talk to us in complete confidence. We assess each case on an individual basis, so we will be able to advise you accordingly.
