I think I’m a victim of discrimination at work but I am not sure
You can claim for discrimination at work in the following ‘protected’ areas:
- Gender reassignment
- Religion or belief.
- Sex and sexual orientation.
In these cases, the victim needs to prove that they have been a victim of discrimination if they have been treated less favourably because of their characteristic in the protected areas.
We are experienced discrimination solicitors. We work with claimants only, so we understand how difficult it can be to prove discrimination at work. We also know how distressing and complex the process can be for claimants. That is why we aim to make the process as stressless and clear as possible, by keeping you informed at all stages of your claim.

I’m worried someone from work will find out I’m making a claim
Our service is transparent, yet confidential, so you can be sure that your case is in the right hands. However, there are strict time limits imposed on discrimination cases, so the earlier you start your claim, the more effective the process will be for you.
By law, you must notify ACAS with details of your claim, before it can be lodged at the Employment Tribunal. ACAS will then attempt conciliation with your employer. If the conciliation process is unsuccessful, then you will be issued with a certificate stating that conciliation has been attempted. Only then can your claim be progressed to the Employment Tribunal.

This was my first experience of having to deal with a solicitor. I found the advice very helpful and felt at all times that I was being guided. I never felt overwhelmed or out of the loop with all the jargon used. Rachel was really great to deal with
